Moon Palace Jamaica, Ocho Rios

Indian weddings atMoon Palace Jamaica

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

A family all-inclusive in Ocho Rios from Palace, the company behind the Mahal South Asian collection in Mexico. Mahal is not sold here, so a South Asian wedding at Moon Palace Jamaica is built to order around its ballrooms and bayside spaces rather than bought off a menu. We would rather you knew that before comparing it with Cancún.

Why Couples Choose It

What this resort actually commits to

Ballroom space for the whole party indoors

Palace’s own fact sheet lists two large ballrooms, the Grand and the Orion, plus smaller rooms. A seated reception does not have to depend on the weather, and a sangeet and a reception on consecutive nights need not share one room.

A bay to marry beside

The resort sells a bayside gazebo for ceremonies, and its fact sheet lists two beaches, a terrace and a lawn for events. The pheras and the party can be in different settings without anyone leaving the resort.

No reopening date to wait for

Moon Palace Jamaica was listed as open within weeks of Hurricane Melissa in October 2025, and in September 2026 it hosted Jamaica’s annual tourism trade exchange. Planning here does not wait on a reopening date.

Wedding packages written for this resort

Palace publishes its own set of wedding packages for Moon Palace Jamaica, so the ceremony set-up, cocktail hour and reception start from a written base before any South Asian elements are added.

Know This Before You Fall In Love

The published limits

Every venue has them. Most planners let you discover them at contract. We would rather you weighed them now, while changing your mind is free.

  • Palace’s South Asian collection, Mahal, is sold at its Mexican resorts, not here.
  • No Indian restaurant appears among the resort’s published restaurants.
  • Across Palace resorts, décor and audiovisual come only from Palace’s own production company. Other outside vendors are allowed for a fee per service, and guests who provide those services can be treated as vendors.

One thing in its favour that is easy to miss: this resort takes all ages. Several highly rated properties in the same bracket are adults-only, which quietly rules them out for a wedding that travels with grandparents and small children in the same room block.

Before You Commit

What we get in writing for you

These are the questions that decide whether a wedding works at a property, and the answers change by resort and sometimes by venue within one resort. We put them to the wedding office and get them confirmed before you sign anything.

  • Whether Palace’s Indian menus and South Asian ceremony set-ups, which it publishes for Mexico, can be delivered at this resort.
  • Open flame for the havan, in writing.
  • The baraat, the music curfew and the rain backup, none of which Palace publishes for this resort.
  • Jain, halal and no-onion-no-garlic menus.
  • Your room block terms, which are negotiated and not published.

Planning is free, and it stays free. We are paid by the resort on your guests' room block, which is why we can afford to tell you when a venue is wrong for you.
