Travel Notes from Canada

Guests fly into Nassau (NAS); we check the routes from each guest's city at quote time, because schedules change by season. Atlantis is about 30 minutes from the airport. No visa required for Canadian passport holders. Indian passport holders DO need a Bahamas visa unless they hold a visa for, or permanent residence in, the US, UK, Canada or a Schengen country. Note also that the couple must be in the country 48 business hours before the marriage licence can be issued, which usually means arriving by Wednesday for a Saturday wedding.

Indian Wedding Packages in Bahamas

Atlantis Paradise Island runs its own Indian wedding programme, Pyaar Atlantis, with two Hindu ceremony packages, Saagar and Aakash. Both include a firepit for the pheras, and the resort has an Indian wedding specialist in house.

What a package usually covers

  • The ceremony setting: the space, the seating and a decorated mandap or arch
  • A resort coordinator for the day, and sometimes the officiant
  • Some of the weekend, often the ceremony and one dinner, rarely every event
  • Food and drink from the resort’s own kitchens

What it usually leaves out

  • Most other events, such as the haldi, mehndi and sangeet, priced separately
  • Outside vendors and their fees: your own photographer, décor or DJ
  • The room block, which many programmes require for a minimum number of rooms and nights

We do not publish package prices: they change with your date and guest count, and resorts quote them against your room block. On a free consultation we price the packages for your weekend. Book a free call

What Drives the Budget Here

The Bahamas budget is built differently from everywhere else on this list, and it is worth understanding before you fall in love with it. The flagship property is European Plan rather than all-inclusive, so food and drink are a separate line item rather than folded into the room rate, and there is a minimum spend per guest at private events. That structure can work very well for a couple who wants a specific menu and less well for one expecting a room rate to cover dinner. Catering is also in-house only, so a caterer cannot be flown in.

We do not publish budget ranges, and that is deliberate. A number without your guest count, your event list and your resort is a guess dressed up as guidance, and couples plan against it for months. Bring us those three things and you get a real one.
