Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana, Macao, Punta Cana

Dulha & Dulhan

Indian weddings atDreams Macao Beach Punta Cana

Macao, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

A family all-inclusive on Macao beach, north of the main Bávaro strip, and one of the Hyatt resorts that sell Dulha & Dulhan, Hyatt’s South Asian wedding collection. The collection is generous; its booking conditions are strict, and they decide how early you need to start.

Why Couples Choose It

What this resort actually commits to

Hyatt’s South Asian collection, at this resort

Dulha & Dulhan is Hyatt Inclusive Collection’s own South Asian wedding package, and Hyatt lists Dreams Macao Beach among the resorts that offer it. It is written around the events of a South Asian wedding rather than a single ceremony and dinner.

The baraat is a named event

Hyatt’s collection lists the baraat as an event in its own right, so the procession is planned, not squeezed in before the ceremony.

A chef who specialises in Indian food

The reception buffet in the collection is cooked by a chef who specialises in Indian cuisine, with vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The food at the centre of the wedding is not an international buffet with a curry added.

Know This Before You Fall In Love

The published limits

Every venue has them. Most planners let you discover them at contract. We would rather you weighed them now, while changing your mind is free.

  • The Dulha & Dulhan collection has to be booked about a year ahead and needs a minimum room block, so it rewards couples who decide early.
  • Hyatt publishes nothing for this resort about open flame, outside caterers, outside-vendor fees or a music curfew.

One thing in its favour that is easy to miss: this resort takes all ages. Several highly rated properties in the same bracket are adults-only, which quietly rules them out for a wedding that travels with grandparents and small children in the same room block.

Before You Commit

What we get in writing for you

These are the questions that decide whether a wedding works at a property, and the answers change by resort and sometimes by venue within one resort. We put them to the wedding office and get them confirmed before you sign anything.

  • Open flame for the havan, in writing.
  • Whether an outside Indian caterer or chef can work here, and on what terms.
  • What your own photographer, DJ or décor team would pay to come.
  • The music curfew, and which indoor space backs up each outdoor event.
  • Whether construction of the new resort next door affects your dates.
  • Your room block terms, which are negotiated and not published.

Planning is free, and it stays free. We are paid by the resort on your guests' room block, which is why we can afford to tell you when a venue is wrong for you.
