Indian weddings atHard Rock Hotel Cancún

Cancún, Mexico

A family all-inclusive in Cancún’s Hotel Zone, coming back from a full renovation the resort calls Cancun, Remastered, with stays from December 2026. Hard Rock sells its Indian wedding offering here under the Ishq name, and it publishes its wedding rules in detail, which makes it easier to plan against.

Why Couples Choose It

What this resort actually commits to

Ishq, Hard Rock’s Indian wedding offering

The resort’s own Indian Weddings page offers a custom collection built with its wedding specialists: mehndi artists, popular Indian music and live entertainment, and traditional cuisine from the resort’s chefs.

A curfew you can plan a sangeet around

Outdoor private functions must finish by 10:30pm. Ballroom functions can run to the time you ask for, with extra hours and staff charged. So the late night simply moves indoors, and you know that before you build the schedule.

Outside vendors are allowed, on written terms

Bringing your own photographer, decorator or DJ is permitted, with the rules in writing: a vendor fee per outside business and per service, extra supervision and insurance for anyone installing sound or structures, and a set stay on property for photo, video, hair and makeup teams. Rules like these are what let us cost a wedding honestly.

Rooms and spaces newly redesigned

The renovation covers rooms, public spaces, dining and the family areas. Your guests arrive at a resort that has just been redesigned rather than one waiting for its turn.

Know This Before You Fall In Love

The published limits

Every venue has them. Most planners let you discover them at contract. We would rather you weighed them now, while changing your mind is free.

  • The resort was closed for most of 2026 for its renovation and takes stays from December. Event spaces may have changed, so we work from the new floor plans, not the old ones.
  • Most of your guests must stay on the property: the resort requires 80% of the guest list to be in-house, and the rest need day passes.
  • Open flame is not addressed in anything the resort publishes. For a havan that means not published, get it in writing.
  • There is no published policy on an outside Indian caterer. The vendor rules cover service providers and say nothing about food. Not published, get it in writing.
  • The baraat is unpublished: nothing on a route, a horse or dhol players.

One thing in its favour that is easy to miss: this resort takes all ages. Several highly rated properties in the same bracket are adults-only, which quietly rules them out for a wedding that travels with grandparents and small children in the same room block.

Before You Commit

What we get in writing for you

These are the questions that decide whether a wedding works at a property, and the answers change by resort and sometimes by venue within one resort. We put them to the wedding office and get them confirmed before you sign anything.

  • Open flame for the havan, in writing, from the resort rather than a brochure.
  • Whether an outside Indian caterer may cook or serve on the property, and on what terms.
  • The baraat: route, drummers, and whether a horse is possible in the Hotel Zone.
  • Which rebuilt ballroom and outdoor spaces hold your events, once the post-renovation plans are issued.

Planning is free, and it stays free. We are paid by the resort on your guests' room block, which is why we can afford to tell you when a venue is wrong for you.
