Iberostar Rose Hall, Montego Bay

Indian weddings atIberostar Rose Hall

Montego Bay, Jamaica

Iberostar runs three hotels together at Rose Hall, a short drive from Montego Bay’s airport, and says it customises each wedding rather than offering generic packages. That suits a celebration that runs over several days. The thing to know first is age: from November 2026 two of the three hotels are adults-only, so a wedding that travels with children builds its room block around the family hotel, Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites.

Why Couples Choose It

What this resort actually commits to

Close to the airport

Iberostar puts Selection Rose Hall Suites fifteen minutes from Montego Bay’s airport. When grandparents are flying in, a short transfer at the end of a long travel day matters.

No package to bend around four events

Iberostar says it does not offer generic wedding packages and customises each wedding instead. A week with a mehndi, a sangeet, a ceremony and a reception can be planned as that week, rather than squeezed into a package written for a single ceremony and dinner.

Children have a hotel of their own

Selection Rose Hall Suites is the family hotel, with its own kids’ club, and it is where Iberostar points families. Friends who would rather have an adults-only stay have one in the same Rose Hall complex.

Open flame is already in their wedding vocabulary

Iberostar’s brand-wide Wedding Week lists a welcome bonfire on the beach. That is not permission for a havan and we will not treat it as one, but a fire at a wedding event is not a new idea to this wedding office.

Know This Before You Fall In Love

The published limits

Every venue has them. Most planners let you discover them at contract. We would rather you weighed them now, while changing your mind is free.

  • From 1 November 2026, Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach becomes adults-only, joining JOIA Rose Hall. Selection Rose Hall Suites is then the only one of the three that takes children, so a wedding with children in the party needs its room block there.
  • JOIA Rose Hall is closed for a renovation that reaches almost every part of the resort, until the end of November 2026, and reopens in December. Anything published about its spaces before then describes the hotel as it was before the rebuild.
  • Iberostar’s own Jamaica wedding page still describes two family-friendly hotels under the old name, Iberostar Rose Hall Beach. Their wedding material has not caught up with the adults-only change, which is exactly why we get the current position in writing.
  • There is no Indian restaurant at the family hotel and no South Asian wedding programme. Iberostar publishes nothing about who would cook an Indian menu or what the kitchen can produce.
  • Iberostar publishes no venue capacities for its Jamaica hotels, so which space can seat the whole party is still to be confirmed.

Before You Commit

What we get in writing for you

These are the questions that decide whether a wedding works at a property, and the answers change by resort and sometimes by venue within one resort. We put them to the wedding office and get them confirmed before you sign anything.

  • Whether events can be spread across the three hotels under one contract, and whether guests with children can attend an event held at an adults-only hotel.
  • Whether Selection guests keep access to the Waves hotel’s restaurants and facilities once it becomes adults-only.
  • Open flame for the havan, in writing. A beach bonfire in a brochure is not the same thing.
  • What the kitchen can cook for a full Indian banquet, and whether Jain, halal or no-onion-no-garlic menus can be certified.
  • Whether an outside Indian caterer, décor team or DJ can be brought in, and on what terms.
  • The baraat, the music curfew and the rain backup, none of which Iberostar publishes for Jamaica.
  • Your room block terms, which are negotiated and not published.

Planning is free, and it stays free. We are paid by the resort on your guests' room block, which is why we can afford to tell you when a venue is wrong for you.
